Integrating Plattar on PDP to showcase the RJ Living product, given the project's complexity and an aggressive timeline to ensure the new site was operational for peak season furniture seasons.
The RJ Living team worked closely with Plattar to produce product models and utilise AR features on PDP. Overdose. quickly integrated the Plattar SDK so design and development of the new Product Display Page (PDP) could be completed, across the digital customer experience. RJ Living’s single purpose is to help their customers discover the right furniture and designer homewares to inspire their style of living. This is achieved by transforming the way customers experience their products through Plattars 3D & AR product experience platform, driving sales and building lasting customer relationships.
Shipping bulky items, with different requirements based on location and order size.
Due to the nature of the product being bulky, and differences in freight costs to different locations in Australia, RJ Living designed a complex shipping matrix, which was implemented via DataJet on Shopify.
Convey premium quality of the RJ brand online.
During the project discovery, Overdose. worked with the RJ Living team to redesign key pages across the site to align with the premium quality brand, while incorporating the updated tech stack - for example, Yotpo for both reviews and UGC.
Different PDP requirements across the product catalogue.
To cover the large product catalogue we designed multiple versions of the PDP to accommodate the requirements across different product types - including RJ Living branding products, kit or modular products as well as artworks and homeware products.
RJ Living and Overdose. worked closely to define a new UX/UI experience for RJ Living customers. We focussed on ensuring the PDP design was flexible to the large and complex product catalogue, with options for content relevant to the RJ Living brand and stocked brands. This included the integration of Plattar on PDP (both 3D renders, and in-home visualisation). Another key factor in the PDP design was the inclusion of a simple shipping calculator to present shipping costs upfront. In addition, the new site boasts a new physical swatch ordering experience for customers.
