Project

Part of the iconic Proof Living Group in South East Asia, Crate & Barrel is the destination for contemporary and modern furniture, housewares and decor that help people Welcome Life In. The homeware market has seen some significant transformation and growth through COVID, exploring new digital channels to active brands & consumer engagement through to conversion.
Our Singapore team partnered with Samuel Stephen Wright, Hwee Shan Chia, Yong Peng Tan and the Proof Living team to create a new Crate & Barrel site for the Singapore and Malaysia markets. Built on Shopify Plus, the tech stack also includes Shopify POS, Yotpo, Hubspot, Hoolah, Atome, GrabPay and Apple Pay.

UX/UI
The Crate & Barrel Singapore site was missing the brand story that communicates minimalist lifestyle design. We made sure besides communicating the brand story, the user journey was well crafted both on desktop and more importantly on mobile. With a wide range of products and categories, users must have a guided journey when browsing through the site, hence the tiered mega-menu with visual cues. There is also the challenge of offering to users the different kinds of services that Crate & Barrel provides to their customers which we’ve communicated subtly and seamlessly throughout the site.
