Over several years, Overdose. has had the privilege of working closely with 3 Wise Men to support their digital marketing strategies and re-establish their online presence in the New Zealand market. As a leading provider of affordable high-quality men's wear, 3 Wise Men faced the challenge of increasing customer centricity and long-term customer value. Through a strong and sustainable customer retention strategy across multiple key channels, the collaborative efforts between Overdose. and 3 Wise Men have successfully re-established the brand as a key player in the men's wear market.

Founded in 2004, 3 Wise Men was born out of a desire to provide quality fashionable clothing at affordable prices to the New Zealand market. Recognizing the changing landscape of men's fashion, the company set out to simplify the purchasing process by offering strong online offers, welcoming and well-stocked physical stores, and great customer service. Additionally, 3 Wise Men implemented a straightforward pricing strategy, offering all their shirts at a flat rate of $120 each or 3 for $300.

Quality is at the forefront of 3 Wise Men's mission, with a focus on using the softest and richest cotton to create clothing that wears beautifully and is built to last. The company also places a high value on "Good Buggers Rule" (GBR), which translates to fostering positive relationships with both customers and staff. This approach has been successful in retaining many loyal customers and staff members since the company's inception.

Improving Total Organic Traffic Keywords

Competing in a crowded market and maintaining great search engine performance following recent algorithm updates announced by Google.

As we faced the challenge of targeting high-converting keywords for their key category pages, which required optimising and creating new copy, we developed a customised solution that focused on creating high-quality, relevant content that targeted the right keywords, as well as optimising existing copy to improve search engine visibility. By implementing this approach, we were able to significantly increase the organic search traffic and improve the overall website performance. Our collaborative and data-driven approach helped 3 Wise Men achieve their goals and maximise their return on investment.

Boosting Brand Awareness and Acquiring New Customers

Tapping into an untapped market while maintaining their strong presence and high loyalty with existing customers.

Establishing a strong and sustainable customer retention strategy that would allow them to reach both existing and potential customers throughout the entire purchasing journey was a challenge. To address this, we developed an integrated full-funnel strategy that targeted users at every stage of their purchasing journey. Our approach enabled us to prospect users who were not familiar with 3 Wise Men, while also engaging and converting those who were further down the funnel. By implementing our strategy, we were able to achieve impressive results, including a 15.5% increase in new user traffic and a 14.1% increase in revenue compared to pre-SEM influence.

Expanding 3 Wise Men's Digital Reach Across Multiple Touchpoints

Re-establishing their brand in the highly competitive menswear market while achieving sustained e-commerce growth.

During the peak season promotion, our team recognized the potential of utilizing Paid Social channels to enhance brand awareness and drive user engagement. "Working with Overdose. has been a game-changer for our e-commerce channel. We started working with them back in 2016 when Todd, Nikolai and Ryan worked out of a bunker in the back of Ponsonby. Since then, we've seen incredible growth and transformation. One of the things that has made working with Overdose. so successful is our shared revenue goals. We're both invested in making our e-commerce channel as successful as possible, which means we're always on the same page when it comes to our objectives. This alignment has helped us achieve some truly impressive results.

One of the biggest projects that Overdose. helped us with was the migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2. This was a massive undertaking, but they made the process smooth and seamless and at the same time usefully challenging! The new platform has allowed us to offer a much-improved shopping experience to our customers, and we've seen a significant increase in sales as a result.

In addition to the Magento migration, Overdose. has also helped us integrate many of the other applications and pieces of tech that we use in the business. This has given us much more powerful email marketing capabilities, which has been critical in our efforts to stay connected with our customers and keep them engaged. It has also streamlined our warehousing and logistics capabilities as well as integrate with our store POS systems and CRM software.

Of course, it's not just about the big projects. Overdose. has also been instrumental in helping us refine our social media strategy. They've helped us identify new opportunities for engagement, and they're always pushing us to do better and smarter.

What really sets Overdose. apart, though, is their attitude. They're always ready to roll up their sleeves and get stuff done, but they're also not afraid to challenge us when they think we can do better. This combination of pragmatism and entrepreneurial spirit has been invaluable in our partnership. Overall, working with Overdose has been an incredible experience. We've seen huge improvements in our e-commerce channel, and we're excited to see what the future holds with these WISE and very capable heads."
