Aotea Made

Aotea Made had strong in-house content and a profitability target for growth. It needed a clearer picture of the people it was trying to reach and a plan for using that content across paid media and the website.
The project
Aotea Made produces therapeutic products in New Zealand, drawing on mātauranga Māori and traditional herbal remedies. The business partnered with Overdose on marketing strategy and conversion optimisation.
Audience research informed a full-funnel plan, paid-media playbooks and a lead-generation approach for social channels. A design audit examined how product information appeared in browsing and on product pages, so content could help customers understand what each product was for.
The brief joined acquisition and on-site discovery with a commercial aim: growing within Aotea Made’s profitability target.

Experience
UX & UI
The design audit focused on what shoppers could learn as they browsed. More visible information on product cards, clearer descriptions and guidance about use and benefits helped make the range easier to understand. These changes also created places for Aotea Made’s existing educational content within the shopping journey.
