Measuring the full subscription relationship, not just the first checkout, so WOOP could understand recurring purchases alongside recipe preferences and customer behaviour.

Most WOOP transactions happened after the customer left the website, as recurring subscription orders. Standard ecommerce tracking missed that relationship, while supply-chain planning required reliable detail about demand, food preferences and changing customer choices.

  • The project

WOOP's meal-box service lets subscribers choose plans and recipes and adjust their subscriptions over time. Overdose worked with the team to tailor measurement to that model.

A purpose-built data layer defined website interactions and fed tracking through Google Tag Manager. Server-side transaction events used the Google Analytics 4 Measurement Protocol to capture recurring orders, while custom dimensions recorded business-specific information needed for deeper analysis.
