Wilson Sport

The site needed to follow global brand guidelines without assuming every global feature could be copied directly. Local inventory integration, racket options and restrictions on online golf sales each required a different customer journey.
The project
Wilson manufactures ball-sports equipment and forms part of Amer Sports' brand portfolio. Overdose designed and developed its localised Australian Shopify site through the wider Amer Sports relationship.
Custom stringing options supported racket purchases, while the global racket customiser passed product information back to Shopify checkout. A file-based connection linked the local PICK inventory system. Golf products instead directed customers to nearby stockists, reflecting the brand's retail agreements.

Integrations
Overdose integrated the Shopify site with Wilson’s SAP system via a custom API integration, this facilities bi-directional sync between the two platforms - communicating data for orders, fulfilment & refunds. Meanwhile the StockSync application is also used to transfer inventory files between SAP and Shopify via an FTP server.
